Nine stories up in one of Downtown Pittsburgh’s hippest hotels sits the Biergarten. The perfect spot for an after work happy hour or weekend socializing, Hotel Monaco’s Biergarten serves up German-influenced food with European beers and pub games. Since we’re already into the month of August, your opportunities to visit the Biergarten are running fewer and further between. This rooftop hangout spot is only open seasonally from Wednesday – Sunday, weather permitting.
Classic German bottles are a staple at the Biergarten. Their beer list features favorites like the Spaten Optimator doppelbock, Weihenstephaner hefeweizen, Spaten marzen, Kostritzer Schwarzbier, and Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier. The list of bottled beers also spotlights Belgian Trappist ales, sours, and lambics. For those that are less into the beer and more into the socializing, the pub game selection features classics like Jenga, garden chess, all-weather corn hole, and a supersized Connect Four. With a little something for everyone this place is worth a visit – be sure to check it out before the weather takes a turn to the dark side!
